Created by cutting the almonds lengthwise into slivers. They are used as a snack when roasted and as an ingredient in confectionery and baking. They are also used as a garnish for salads and cakes.
They vary in thickness and also have different breakage levels according to need: 20 %, 60 %, etc. The most common almond sizes used for slivered almonds are 23/25 and 27/30.
